5 Wall Drills for Pickleball
In this blog post, we will be discussing 5 wall drills that will help improve your Pickleball game. Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. The game is played on a badminton-sized court with the net lowered to 34 inches at the center. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball over the net.
1. The first drill is called "The Lob." This drill is designed to help you improve your pickleball lob shots. To set up for this drill, you will need two players and one ball. Player 1 will start at the baseline and player 2 will start at the service line. Player 1 will hit a lob shot over the net and player 2 will return the shot. Player 1 will then try to hit the ball past player 2. This drill can be repeated until one player misses the shot or hits it out of bounds.
2. The second drill is called "The Drop Shot." This drill is designed to help you improve your drop shots. To set up for this drill, you will need two players and one ball. Player 1 will start at the baseline and player 2 will start at the service line. Player 1 will hit a drop shot over the net and player 2 will return the shot. Player 1 will then try to hit the ball past player 2. This drill can be repeated until one player misses the shot or hits it out of bounds.
3. The third drill is called "The Overhead Shot." This drill is designed to help you improve your overhead shots. To set up for this drill, you will need two players and one ball. Player 1 will start at the baseline and player 2 will start at the service line. Player 1 will hit an overhead shot over the net and player 2 will return the shot. Player 1 will then try to hit the ball past player 2. This drill can be repeated until one player misses the shot or hits it out of bounds.
4."The Backhand Shot." This drill is designed to help you improve your backhand shots .To set up for this drill, youPlayer 1 starts at baseline while player 2 starts near net on other side. Player 1 hits backhand towards player 2 who then must return ball back over net. This can be done until one person misses or hits out of bounds..
5."The Volley Shot."This last basic skill helps work on volleys. Set up involves both people starting near net on opposite sides. One person hits the pickleball ball towards other who must then volley back over net. Once again, continue until someone misses or hits out of bounds. These five basic skills are key in playing Pickleball successfully!.
